Saudi, Qatari Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations, Regional Security in Riyadh

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer; Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani in Riyadh on Wednesday, with discussions focusing on bilateral relations, regional developments and efforts to promote security and stability.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and explored areas of cooperation, as well as ways to further strengthen and develop bilateral ties in line with the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of both countries.
The talks also addressed the latest developments in the region and diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and maintaining regional security and stability. The ministers underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation, as well as harmonizing positions on current developments to support collective efforts to consolidate peace and stability across the region.
Prince Faisal and Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed their support for Qatari and Pakistani mediation efforts and recognized their important role in advancing the peaceful settlement of disputes through diplomatic channels.
The two sides also stressed the need to sustain joint efforts to safeguard security, safety and freedom of navigation in the region’s vital maritime corridors, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in maintaining regional stability and protecting international maritime routes.
