Senator Irfan Siddiqui and Senator Sarmad Ali visits Uzbekistan Embassy

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On 17th December 2024, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Senator Sarmad Ali visited the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, and had a meeting with His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui being the Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation for the growing relationship between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He highlighted the strategic importance of fostering deeper ties between the two nations, particularly in terms of economic cooperation, trade, and cultural exchange.

His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan acknowledged Pakistan’s vital role in the region and commending its efforts in fostering peace and stability. He expressed optimism about the future of Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations and discussed various initiatives that could enhance collaboration, including joint ventures in areas such as energy, agriculture, education, and tourism.

Senator Sarmad Ali also contributed to the discussions by focusing on the potential avenues for cooperation that could benefit both nations. His insights added depth to the conversation about shared goals and mutual interests, emphasizing the need for continued dialogue and collaboration.

Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, an international relations expert, was also present at the meeting. His expertise enriched the discussions, providing valuable perspectives on international diplomacy and regional integration.
