For example, the first stage of the “Pistali” field has been commissioned, and the second stage will be commissioned by the end of the year. This project will produce an additional 4.4 tons of gold per year.
Uranium reserves will be increased from 67 thousand tons to 100 thousand tons due to implementation of 11 projects worth $550 million at the Navoiuran enterprise.
In general, by 2030, copper production will increase 3.5 times, gold – 1.5 times, silver – 3 times, uranium – 3 times”, the candidate noted.
At the meeting, it was announced that such raw materials as lithium and graphite would be produced in Uzbekistan for the first time.
“For the first time in our country, the production of lithium and graphite will be launched, which are important for the production of electric vehicles and electrical equipment and are in great demand worldwide.
In particular, 8 thousand tons of lithium will be produced in Tashkent region, and 50 thousand tons of graphite per year will be produced in Bukhara.
46 enterprises worth $10 billion will be created in clusters for the production of copper in Akhangaran, ferrous metals in Bekabad, and agricultural machinery in Chirchiq”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
It was noted that 10 trillion UZS are planned to be allocated from the budget for the implementation of geological exploration on an area of 60 thousand square kilometers in the next seven years.
“At the same time, we will also attract $2 billion in direct investments from companies from Canada, France, Austria, Japan, China, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates.
We will also expand the provision of strategic mineral deposits to local entrepreneurs. In this regard, 500 permits for extracting gold, silver, tungsten, coal, and ore will be issued this year. In the coming years, we will increase these works fourfold”, the candidate stressed.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also spoke about his plans for education in the region.
“In the next seven years, the needs of Navoi region families in preschool education will be provided by 100 percent (currently coverage is 82 percent). For this purpose, 310 public and private kindergartens will be created in all mahallas of the region. 1.5 trillion UZS will be allocated for this from all sources.
In addition, due to the construction of new schools and increasing the capacity of existing ones, 40,000 additional student places will be created by 2030. As a result, there will not be a single class with more than 30 students in the district (there are currently 1,200 such classes). All regional schools will be provided with modern computer rooms and educational laboratories.
Considering the climate of Navoi region, all kindergartens and schools will be fully provided with filtered drinking water”, the candidate said.
