Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Commends Abu Dhabi University’s Global Ranking Achievement
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abu Dhabi University (ADU), has praised the university for reaching a significant academic milestone, ranking among the top 200 universities globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that education remains a top priority for President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is committed to fostering the growth of this vital sector by providing the necessary resources and support. He noted that investing in education is a key factor in shaping future national leadership and enhancing the UAE’s global standing.
He further highlighted the significance of Abu Dhabi University’s international recognition, which reflects the UAE’s visionary leadership’s dedication to boosting global competitiveness in higher education at local, regional, and international levels.
Marking the university’s 20th anniversary, Sheikh Hamdan pointed out that ADU’s consistent pursuit of excellence since its establishment in 2003 has been the cornerstone of its global reputation. The university has advanced 60 places in the 2025 rankings, securing the 191st position globally out of 2,092 institutions, recognizing its academic excellence and commitment to research and development.
