Sheikha Fatima Honors Mothers of UAE Martyrs on Commemoration Day

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, has conveyed a heartfelt message of appreciation to the mothers of the UAE’s martyrs on the occasion of Commemoration Day, marked annually on 30th November.

In her message, Sheikha Fatima expressed profound respect for the steadfastness and sacrifice of the mothers who offered the nation its heroic martyrs. She stated that the mother of a martyr has given the homeland a hero whose name will forever remain inscribed in the nation’s records of glory. She affirmed that the sacrifice of the martyr—and the sacrifice of his mother—stands as a source of enduring national pride.

Sheikha Fatima added that the patience and resilience shown by the mothers of the fallen serve as an inspiration, instilling values of loyalty, belonging, and love for the homeland in future generations.

Reaffirming the UAE’s unwavering commitment, Sheikha Fatima stressed that the nation will continue to honour its martyrs and their families in recognition of their noble sacrifices and their vital role in protecting and advancing the country.
