Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Makes Unscheduled Visits to Primary Schools in Temburong District

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah made unscheduled visits to two primary schools in Temburong District following his participation in the Passing Out Parade ceremony for the 13th National Service Programme (PKBN) intake at the PKBN Training Camp Parade Ground in Batu Apoi, Temburong.
The Sultan’s first stop was at Rataie Primary School, where he was warmly welcomed by headmistress Rohayati Abdul Kadir and the teaching staff. The monarch was given a tour of the school’s classrooms and facilities, which currently serve 246 students. The school is supported by 26 teaching staff and 12 non-teaching staff. In addition to its classrooms, Rataie Primary School is equipped with an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lab, a science room for both lower and upper primary levels, Centre of Excellence (COE) rooms for special needs students, and separate ibadat rooms for male and female students.
Following this, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah visited Semabat Primary School, which currently has only 15 students enrolled. He was greeted by headmaster Md Firdaus Md Aus and other school officials. Both visits reflect the Sultan’s ongoing support for education in the region.
