Sultan of Oman and Italian PM Meloni Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Diplomacy

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman held a telephone conversation this evening with Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, during which they reviewed the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between Oman and Italy. Both leaders emphasized the importance of further promoting these relations across various sectors to benefit the shared interests of their nations.
The discussion also covered several regional and international matters, with particular attention to the ongoing talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America. Prime Minister Meloni expressed Italy’s deep appreciation for Oman’s pivotal role in advocating for dialogue and diplomacy, acknowledging the Sultanate’s significant contributions to regional security and global stability.
In response, His Majesty the Sultan conveyed his gratitude to the Italian government for the support it provided in facilitating the second round of talks, which were hosted in Rome last Saturday. His Majesty acknowledged the vital role Italy has played in advancing diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering peace and cooperation in the region.
