Tajikistan, Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Central Asia’s Unified Energy System

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan and Kazakhstan have held discussions on expanding cooperation within the Unified Energy System of Central Asia, with a focus on strengthening regional energy security and enhancing sustainable resource management.
According to the Tajik Energy Ministry’s press center, Tajik Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Manuchehr Safarzoda met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Energy Minister Sungat Yesimkhanov to explore avenues for deeper collaboration.
During the talks, both sides exchanged views on the implementation of joint industrial projects and shared best practices for the efficient and sustainable use of energy resources. The officials emphasized that enhanced cooperation within the regional energy framework would contribute to improved system stability and reliability.
They further noted that closer coordination between the two countries could play a key role in strengthening energy security across Central Asia, while also supporting broader economic development objectives.
The discussions reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan to advancing regional integration and promoting sustainable energy solutions through collaborative initiatives.
