Tehran Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Palestinians, Urges Global Action for Justice

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: In a strongly worded statement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the ongoing attacks and crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, particularly during the holy month of Eid al-Fitr. Baqaei expressed grave concern over the escalation of violence, calling the actions of the Israeli regime as a blatant violation of international human rights standards.

Baqaei highlighted several disturbing reports, including the targeted assassination of journalists, deliberate attacks on aid workers and medical centers, and the recent raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionist settlers. These acts, he stated, reflect the systematic brutality faced by Palestinians in their struggle for freedom and dignity.

The spokesperson referenced a recent report by the United Nations Human Rights Council’s Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, which condemned Israel’s use of hunger and famine as tools of genocide. Baqaei stressed the urgent need for the international community, particularly the United Nations, to apply significant pressure on the Israeli regime to halt these crimes.

Further, Baqaei criticized Western nations, including Britain, Canada, Germany, and France, for their failure to take meaningful action against the gross human rights violations committed by Israel. He expressed regret over the humanitarian crisis in occupied Palestine, condemning the hypocrisy of these countries, which claim to uphold human rights yet remain passive in the face of ongoing atrocities.

In his statement, Baqaei reminded the international community of its collective responsibility to prevent and confront heinous crimes such as genocide and war crimes, as outlined in international law. He cited the impunity granted to the Israeli regime as the primary cause of its continued violence and occupation of Palestinian territories.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson called on all nations, particularly those in the Islamic world, to unite in action against the killing of innocent women and children in Palestine. He urged both verbal and practical solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people in their fight for justice and self-determination.

Baqaei’s remarks underscore Iran’s unwavering support for Palestine and its call for global intervention to end the ongoing crisis in the region.
