Cairo, The Gulf Observer: A Turkish-Egyptian hospital is set to be constructed in the new administrative capital east of Cairo, as revealed by Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.

During a statement on Friday, Minister Ghaffar disclosed that the establishment protocol for the hospital would be signed, along with other protocols, during the upcoming visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to Ankara in April. This development underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering collaboration, particularly in the healthcare sector.

“We look forward to significant cooperation in various fields, especially in the health sector, in the coming period, so that we can expand the scope of cooperation and maximize the benefit from the capabilities of the two largest countries in the region,” Minister Ghaffar stated.

He also emphasized the historic significance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s recent visit to Egypt, considering it a pivotal moment that sends a crucial message to the region and the world regarding the restoration of robust relations between Egypt and Turkey to their historical roots spanning thousands of years.

Minister Ghaffar played a key role as the head of the honorary mission that welcomed President Erdogan and his delegation during their recent visit, further highlighting the importance of fostering strong ties between the two nations.

The Turkish-Egyptian hospital project is expected to contribute not only to advancements in healthcare but also to the broader goals of collaboration and mutual benefit, showcasing the shared commitment to regional stability and prosperity. As the establishment protocol is set to be formalized in the coming months, the project represents a significant milestone in the growing partnership between Turkey and Egypt.
