Turkmen Customs Delegation Visits Russia to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Moscow, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman M. Muhammedov, conducted a working visit to the Russian Federation from December 14 to 18, 2025, focusing on deepening bilateral customs cooperation.

The discussions centered on the preparation of a Joint Action Plan for 2026–2028, aimed at further expanding collaboration between the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS) and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. During the meetings, the delegations reviewed the current state of bilateral customs cooperation and identified priority areas for development.

Special attention was given to coordinating the parameters of the future action plan, which is expected to encompass expanded collaboration in customs procedure digitalization, information exchange, law enforcement, and staff training, according to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

As part of the visit, the Turkmen delegation toured the Moscow Customs Electronic Declaration Center, the Russian Customs Academy, and the FCS Canine Center, studying practical experiences and approaches employed by Russian customs authorities in their official activities.

The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to continue strengthening practical cooperation and enhancing the partnership between the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
