Turkmenistan Added to Russia’s Electronic Visa Program
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Citizens of Turkmenistan can now travel to the Russian Federation using an electronic visa, following a decision by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to expand the list of eligible countries to 64.
The newly included nations also feature Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, and Eswatini.
Russia’s electronic visa system, operational since August 1, 2023, allows for tourist, business, humanitarian, and guest visits. The application process requires no invitation or proof of purpose, with approvals issued within four days. Additionally, children under six years of age can obtain visas free of charge.
This move aims to simplify travel procedures and enhance international connectivity with Russia.
