Turkmenistan Advocates for Regional Climate Technology Centre at OSCE Economic and Environmental Meeting
Vienna, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan participated in the OSCE Economic and Environmental Dimension Implementation Meeting (EEDIM), held in Vienna, underscoring its commitment to sustainable water use and regional stability. As reported on the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Austria’s official website, the discussions at EEDIM emphasized sustainable resource management, particularly focusing on technological solutions to address environmental challenges.
During the meeting, Turkmenistan reiterated its proposal to establish a Regional Climate Technology Centre in Ashgabat. The center, envisioned to enhance climate resilience across Central Asia, aims to facilitate technological advancements in climate adaptation and mitigation.
A side event dedicated to water security in Central Asia highlighted the collaborative approach required for sustainable development in the region. The gathering enabled participants to share insights on enhancing climate and water security and discussed the OSCE’s role in addressing transboundary environmental issues effectively.
