Turkmenistan and Rwanda Establish Diplomatic Relations at UN Headquarters

New York City, The Gulf Observer: A formal signing ceremony was held on July 14 at Turkmenistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York City to commemorate the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Rwanda, according to an official statement issued Tuesday by the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

The Joint Communiqué was signed by the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Aksoltan Atayeva, and Rwanda’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Martin K. Ngoga.

Prior to the signing, the two ambassadors engaged in discussions focusing on the potential for enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries. They emphasized the importance of mutual engagement in global platforms and the development of constructive relations across various sectors.

Ambassador Atayeva also extended Turkmenistan’s formal invitation for Rwanda to participate at a high level in the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), further underlining Turkmenistan’s commitment to inclusive international dialogue.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides congratulated their respective governments and peoples on the formal establishment of diplomatic ties. They hailed the occasion as a significant step toward reinforcing bilateral cooperation and building a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership.
