Turkmenistan Charitable Foundation Named After Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Expands Organizational Structure
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has undergone significant organizational restructuring to enhance its operational efficiency and expand its activities. The developments were announced during a board meeting where lawyer M. Hojamberdiyeva presented revisions to the Foundation’s Charter, the Regulations on the Council of Elders, and updates to the composition of the Board.
These documents, originally approved by the Foundation’s Founder on April 15, 2023, have now been revised to accommodate the Foundation’s growing responsibilities. With an increase in the scope of activities, new staff positions were added to the Charter, providing the President of the Foundation with the authority to appoint and dismiss personnel.
New Leadership Roles Established
Among the key changes, the Foundation introduced three new vice-president roles:
- Executive Director for Business Management
- Executive Director for Medical Activities
- Executive Director for Industrial Sector
These vice-presidents will oversee their respective domains and ensure the effective implementation of the Foundation’s objectives. A new draft outlining the revised composition of the Board was prepared in alignment with these structural changes.
Role of the Council of Elders
The Council of Elders, an advisory body within the Foundation, has also seen its role enhanced. This body focuses on strengthening national traditions, promoting unity among the people, and educating the younger generation. The updated Regulations on the Council of Elders, approved by the President of the Foundation, outline the goals, objectives, and responsibilities of its members.
Headed by the President of the Foundation, the Council of Elders supports the strategic implementation of the Foundation’s mission as defined in its Charter. A draft of the updated Regulations was submitted to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for consideration.
Official Approvals and Enhancements
After reviewing the proposals, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, signed a Resolution to improve the activities of the Charitable Foundation and approved the updated Charter and Board composition. The official approval also included the establishment of the two new vice-president roles for medical and industrial activities, further solidifying the Foundation’s capacity to address diverse needs.
These developments underscore the Foundation’s commitment to supporting children in need, fostering national unity, and preserving Turkmenistan’s cultural traditions. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports that these enhancements will enable the Foundation to implement its initiatives more effectively, marking a significant step forward in its mission to serve vulnerable children.
