Turkmenistan Explores Strategic Partnership with Pakistan’s Frontier Works Organization

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On August 22, 2024, Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with Kashif Nazir, President and Engineer-in-Chief of Pakistan’s “Frontier Works Organization” (FWO), to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

During the talks, both sides expressed satisfaction with the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan. The discussions focused on the potential for collaboration in urban development, enhancement of road and transport infrastructure, and the construction of irrigation systems.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on furthering cooperation in light of the large-scale projects planned in Turkmenistan. The successful long-term experience of the Frontier Works Organization was highlighted as a key factor in the potential partnership.

The discussions reflected the commitment of both nations to deepen ties and work together on projects that contribute to the development and prosperity of the region.
