Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, has proposed holding the Second Dialogue of Women of Central Asia and Russia in May 2025 in Avaza, the Caspian coastal tourist zone. This suggestion was made during a telephone conversation with Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The leaders exchanged warm congratulations and best wishes for the upcoming New Year while reaffirming their mutual commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.

Dialogue to Promote Peace, Stability, and Cooperation
During the conversation, both sides highlighted the importance of political dialogue for fostering peace, stability, and sustainable development. The discussion also focused on prospects for collaboration in 2025, a year declared by the UN General Assembly, at Turkmenistan’s initiative, as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The call emphasized the urgency of uniting the global community to restore the culture of dialogue, respect, and tolerance in international relations.

Women’s Role in International Cooperation
Berdimuhamedov underscored the vital role of women in promoting peace and fostering international cooperation. Referring to the success of the First Dialogue of Women of Central Asian States and Russia held in Turkmenistan in 2022, he noted its positive impact on strengthening interstate relations and elevating the role of women in global diplomacy.

The proposed Second Dialogue aims to reaffirm the significance of the Caspian Sea as a symbol of peace, harmony, and international cooperation. Highlighting the Caspian’s historical role, Berdimuhamedov stated that the forum would demonstrate the region’s growing importance as a hub for responsible international diplomacy and creative collaboration.

A Platform for Regional and Global Diplomacy
The Turkmen Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Second Dialogue would not only strengthen regional cooperation but also serve as a platform to promote international understanding and responsible diplomacy. By bringing together women leaders from Central Asia and Russia, the event seeks to amplify their contributions to resolving global challenges and advancing sustainable development.

The forum’s venue in Avaza, a scenic location along the Caspian coast, symbolizes its mission of peace and dialogue, reflecting the region’s commitment to fostering harmony and mutual respect amid complex global trends.

The initiative is expected to attract widespread international attention and further solidify Turkmenistan’s role as a proponent of peace, dialogue, and cooperation on the global stage.
