Turkmenistan, UN Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Environmental Sustainability
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on Wednesday held a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Xiaojun Grace Wang to discuss priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on further coordination and practical cooperation, with particular focus on strengthening collaboration within the UN framework.
Special attention was given to preparations for upcoming joint events and efforts to promote Turkmenistan’s international initiatives through the United Nations.
The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of coordinated international efforts to advance environmental sustainability and protect the Caspian Sea.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations in addressing shared regional and global challenges, particularly in the areas of environmental protection and sustainable development.
