Turkmenistan's National Leader Visits Russia Halal Expo in Kazan

Kazan, The Gulf Observer: During his working visit to Kazan on Thursday, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, toured Turkmenistan’s national pavilion at the Russia Halal Expo alongside Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Tatarstan, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.

The exhibition, held at the Kazan Expo international exhibition center, featured a diverse array of representatives from nearly all sectors of the economy, including food production, healthcare, industry, fashion and beauty, tourism, information technology, finance, and investment from various regions of Russia and foreign countries, including Turkmenistan.

Berdimuhamedov and Minnikhanov reviewed original projects and modern technologies, as well as equipment and materials for industrial, civil, road, and housing construction, presented by major Russian companies. They also inspected road construction and lifting equipment.

Turkmenistan’s pavilion showcased products from its leading economic sectors, including the fuel and energy sector and the petrochemical industry. The pavilion featured high-quality petroleum products, polyethylene, polypropylene, various light industry goods, glass products, and various types of construction materials. Additionally, the exhibition highlighted Turkmenistan’s achievements in textile and leather production, as well as traditional crafts.

During the visit, Minnikhanov was presented with a Turkmen carpet as a gift, and the honorary guests received traditional carpet bags called torba.

As part of the Russia Halal Expo, Turkmen specialists gave presentations on the investment potential of Turkmenistan’s economic sectors.

At the annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World” in Kazan, Berdimuhamedov proposed the development of an Islamic initiative for peace to be presented at the UN General Assembly.
