TURKSOY Publishes Series on Makhtumkuli Fragi in Honor of 300th Anniversary
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has launched a series of publications dedicated to the life and work of the renowned Turkmen poet and thinker, Makhtumkuli Fragi, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
TURKSOY has declared 2024 as the “Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi,” focusing on the study and promotion of the poet’s rich legacy. Makhtumkuli Fragi, celebrated for his masterful expression of universal human values such as patriotism, humanism, peace, friendship, and unity, remains a towering figure in Turkic literature.
In celebration of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fragi, TURKSOY has prioritized publishing activities. This initiative includes the release of collections of the poet’s works, research papers, scientific articles, monographs, and special editions of newspapers and magazines. These publications aim to deepen the understanding of Fragi’s contributions to literature and to further disseminate his messages of unity and peace across the Turkic-speaking world.
