UAE Foreign Minister Meets Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, met today with Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in Islamabad. The meeting was also attended by General Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan.

The high-level meeting took place as part of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah’s working visit to Pakistan and served as a platform to reinforce the longstanding and strategic partnership between the two nations. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across a wide spectrum of sectors, with the aim of advancing shared development goals and promoting mutual prosperity.

Both sides reviewed the outcomes of the official visit made by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Pakistan in February. That visit played a pivotal role in strengthening collaboration between the UAE and Pakistan across several key strategic areas.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and Prime Minister Sharif discussed avenues for deepening cooperation in economic, trade, investment, and development domains. They affirmed their shared commitment to fostering a robust and forward-looking partnership that benefits both nations and supports sustainable progress for their peoples.

Expressing his pride in visiting Pakistan, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the deep-rooted historical relations and the evolving nature of ties between the UAE and Pakistan. He reiterated the UAE’s firm commitment to further enhance bilateral cooperation and thanked Prime Minister Sharif for the warm hospitality extended to the Emirati delegation.

The meeting also included a comprehensive exchange of views on regional and international developments, with both sides addressing issues of common concern and reaffirming their dedication to regional stability and global cooperation.

The UAE delegation accompanying H.H. Sheikh Abdullah included Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability; and Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan.

The visit underscores the strong and enduring ties between the UAE and Pakistan and reflects their shared vision for deepened collaboration across all sectors of mutual interest.
