UAE President Receives Qatari PM to Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Tuesday welcomed His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, offering prayers for continued wellbeing and prosperity for the peoples of both nations.
His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to the UAE President, along with best wishes for the UAE’s sustained progress and prosperity. In response, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended his own warm regards to the Emir of Qatar and expressed his sincere wishes for further development and success for the Qatari people.
The two sides reaffirmed the strength of the fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, emphasizing their mutual commitment to further enhancing cooperation across various fields for the benefit of both countries.
The meeting also featured a review of regional and international developments, with both leaders exchanging perspectives on issues of mutual concern.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, where he was received by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, along with other senior officials.
The meeting at Qasr Al Bahr was attended by several members of the UAE’s leadership, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE Presidential Court, alongside a number of ministers and senior officials.
