UIET Commences 16th Anniversary Exhibition in Ashgabat
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Expo Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital city of Ashgabat welcomed esteemed guests and dignitaries on Sunday as it inaugurated a three-day exhibition commemorating the 16th anniversary of the founding of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET). Alongside the exhibition, a member conference of the UIET was held, marking a pivotal moment for the country’s entrepreneurial landscape.
As reported by Turkmenistan’s official media, the exhibition serves as a platform to showcase the rich experience, remarkable achievements, and promising opportunities of Turkmen entrepreneurs, alongside highlighting national programs aimed at bolstering the private sector.
The opening ceremony attracted a diverse array of attendees, including government officials, leaders from Halk Maslahaty and the Mejlis, representatives from various ministries and departments, public organizations, media personnel, foreign companies, and diplomatic missions of numerous countries and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan.
In his address, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the pivotal role played by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in the country’s development journey. He emphasized the dedication of the UIET towards realizing ambitious modernization goals and effectively implementing state development programs in line with the nation’s overarching vision.
This year’s exhibition saw active participation from over 230 private companies, individual enterprises, and producers, making it a comprehensive showcase of Turkmenistan’s entrepreneurial prowess. Organized by the UIET in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the exhibition featured a diverse range of sectors including construction materials, industrial products, household chemicals, apparel, footwear, furniture, non-alcoholic beverages, clean drinking water, animal husbandry, fisheries, and food industries.
The exhibition, commemorating the 16th anniversary of the UIET, will continue to captivate visitors until March 19, providing an invaluable opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, and exploration of emerging business trends within Turkmenistan’s vibrant economic landscape.
