Uzbek athletes win silver medals at ISSF Junior World Championships 2023

Changwon, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan athletes won 2 silver medals at the ISSF Junior World Championships 2023 in South Korea’s Changwon.

More than 600 athletes from 45 countries are taking part in the competition.

Uzbekistan’s Veniamin Nikitin took second place in the 50-meter pistol shooting. Muhammad Kamalov, Ilkhombek Obidjonov, and Veniamin Nikitin also won silver medals in the team events.

Young shooters have risen to second place in the team events at last year’s World Championships in Egypt. They managed to achieve success in the individual program.

According to the results of the last competitions, Uzbekistan athletes became one of the 15 best teams in the championship. China, India, Ukraine, and South Korea are the leaders in the number of medals.

The championship will run until July 25.
