Aselsan Expands Presence in Gulf Region with New Oman Office

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Aselsan, one of Türkiye’s leading defence companies, has inaugurated a new office in Muscat, the capital of Oman, further strengthening its footprint in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The company announced the expansion in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting that the Muscat office will be part of Aselsan’s broader regional strategy. The firm already maintains offices and subsidiaries in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
“Aselsan’s presence in Oman will offer new opportunities for knowledge transfer and capacity-building activities between the two countries,” the statement noted. The company emphasized that the move aligns with its commitment to producing state-of-the-art defence solutions, pioneering game-changing technologies, and increasing its global exports.
Ahmet Akyol, Aselsan’s CEO and President, underscored the significance of the new office, stating, “This expansion is a testament to our commitment to providing advanced defence solutions and developing partnerships in the Gulf region. Our Muscat office will focus on marketing and trade.”
Akyol also expressed optimism about Aselsan’s role in Oman’s security and technological progress, adding, “We are excited to contribute to the security and technological advancement of Oman, as well as neighbouring countries, through the development of Aselsan technologies, customer satisfaction, and comprehensive after-sales support to end users.”
The new office is expected to enhance collaboration between Türkiye and Oman in the defence sector while supporting the Gulf nation’s ongoing modernization efforts.
