Uzbek national judo team achieve high results in 2nd CIS Games

Minsk, The Gulf Observer: At the 2nd CIS Games in Minsk, Uzbekistan’s national judo team recorded high results on the first day of the competition. Especially women’s performances were highly appreciated not only by fans, but also by specialists.
Umida Quldosheva, who first competed in the -40 kg weight category, won the silver medal, losing to her opponent only in the final match. While another two judokas, who competed in the 44 kg weight category, defeated all their rivals and secured the final. Following an exciting duel, Laziza Haydarova rose to the podium’s highest step, and Mahfira Ruziboyeva took second place.
In the weight category up to 48 kg, Uzbekistan national team member was unsurpassed again. Thanks to Sabina Azamatova’s victory, judo “caught up” with weightlifting in the number of gold medals. And only Raykhona Mamatova, who entered the tatami in the -52 kg weight category, was limited to a bronze medal.
In addition, Uzbekistan representatives continue fighting for prizes. Alijon Aliyev became the bronze medalist in 60 kilograms weight category, and Inoyat Telmanov – the silver medalist in 66 kilograms weight category.
