Uzbekistan and Romania Expand Cultural Ties Through Film Festival Collaboration

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: A significant meeting took place between the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Avazkhon Tadjikhanov, and the President of the Uzbekistan Wrestling Federation in Romania, Naim Belgim. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in cultural and sports initiatives.

During the meeting, Naim Belgim underscored the high level of respect and interest in Uzbek culture, traditions, and customs in Romania. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties and invited representatives from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Culture to participate in the Ancient Games and Culture of Turkic Peoples festival, scheduled to take place in Romania this September.

As part of the festival, Uzbek filmmakers are set to present screenings of films that showcase Uzbekistan’s rich history and cultural heritage. The necessity of providing support for showcasing several historical films was also highlighted during the discussions.

Following the meeting, both sides reached an agreement on implementing joint projects aimed at deepening cultural exchanges and fostering mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and Romania.
