Uzbekistan, Mongolia discuss cooperation in Agriculture

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Uzbekistan Dashdorj Bayarkhuu.

At the meeting, the Minister noted that during the visit of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhjin Batsumber to Uzbekistan, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a joint Intergovernmental Cooperation Commission. In addition, a meeting with the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia is scheduled for September this year.

It was noted that the possibilities of joint cattle breeding in Mongolia and subsequent export to Uzbekistan for meat processing create the basis for large-scale industrial cooperation.

The parties exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector and mechanisms for implementing projects developed within the framework of cooperation.
