Uzbekistan President and Kuwait Crown Prince Discuss Comprehensive Partnership Development

Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: On the second day of his official visit to Kuwait, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah.

The discussions centered on enhancing the long-standing friendship and comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Kuwait. President Mirziyoyev expressed his sincere gratitude to the Crown Prince for the warm reception and the special attention given to the visit.

Both sides underscored the significance of the historic high-level negotiations held the previous day, as well as productive meetings with government officials and leading Kuwaiti companies. These engagements were highlighted as a strong foundation for deepening multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.

The leaders agreed to maintain close contacts and exchanges at various levels. Agreements were reached on the swift establishment of a platform to facilitate investments and implement cooperation projects across key sectors, including the agro-industrial complex, transport and logistics, healthcare, education, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure.

Special attention was also given to fostering mutual support for initiatives within the framework of the “Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council” dialogue. Additionally, both sides agreed to establish joint oversight mechanisms to ensure the effective implementation of all adopted decisions and agreements.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Uzbekistan and Kuwait to strengthening their strategic partnership and fostering long-term economic collaboration.
