Uzbekistan takes part in Global Fashion Summit

Copenhagen, The Gulf Observer: The Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of Encompass company’s managers and diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm, took part in the Global Fashion Summit.

An event was held dedicated to the textile potential of Uzbekistan. The Better Cotton CEO Alan McClay, representatives of the UNECE and the Embassy delivered speeches.

The event participants were informed about the important results achieved in Uzbekistan in the textile industry.

In addition, the main directions of the ongoing work on further developing this area were announced, including ongoing joint projects with UNECE to introduce the Blockchain system, which makes it possible to trace the entire production cycle, as well as active interaction with the ILO, Better Cotton, IFC, GIZ, and others.
