Uzbekistan takes part in UNWTO on Accessible Tourism

Uzbekistan develops international cooperation in tourism

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Tourism Committee U. Shadiyev, taking part in the UNWTO International Conference on Accessible Tourism, met with leaders of the tourism industry of several foreign countries to establish bilateral relations and implement promising projects.

According to the Tourism Committee, issues of establishing bilateral relations and signing a memorandum of understanding, interaction in the development of the Global Code of Safe Tourism within the UN on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev were discussed with the Minister of Tourism of San Marino Federico Pedini Amati, and favorable agreements were reached.

Issues of further development of cooperation, holding Culture, Cinema and Tourism Days, and supporting the development of the Global Code of Safe Tourism were discussed with the Minister of Tourism of Italy Daniela Santanchè.

Issues of bringing cooperation to a new level, increasing the tourist flow between countries, establishing direct flights to Uzbekistan by the Czech Airlines, as well as activity on the initiative to develop a Global Code of Safe Tourism were discussed with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development of the Czech Republic Jan Fluxa.

An agreement was reached with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, Jang Mi-ran, to ensure the participation of travel companies in tourism fairs organized in the two countries, attracting leading Korean teachers at the International Academy of Tourism in Samarkand and the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
