Vietnamese Ambassador Visits National Language Promotion Department to Discuss Bilateral Collaboration
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On January 7, 2025, Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan, His Excellency Pham Anh Tuan, accompanied by diplomats from the Vietnamese Embassy, visited the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) to explore potential areas of bilateral collaboration.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Director General of NLPD; renowned philanthropist and Executive Director of PRCCSF, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram and Analyst on Central & Southeast Asia Mr. Muhammad Ali Pasha.
During the meeting, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar provided an introduction to NLPD’s team and operations, sharing insights into the department’s efforts to promote language, culture, and literature. The discussions focused on enhancing cultural, literary, and linguistic collaborations between Vietnam and Pakistan, aimed at fostering deeper ties between the two nations.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, shared his perspective on the evolving cultural dynamics and identified areas of mutual benefit for both countries, highlighting opportunities.
Following the discussions, Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar guided the Vietnamese Ambassador and his delegation through the facilities at NLPD, including the conference room, meeting hall, and library, providing an overview of the department’s business processes and contributions to language promotion.
The visit marked a significant step toward strengthening cultural and intellectual ties between Pakistan and Vietnam, paving the way for enhanced cooperation in the areas of language, literature, and shared cultural heritage.
