Visit to Benang Kelambu Waterfall: A Hidden Paradise in Central Lombok
Benang Kelambu Waterfall is one of them which has been excellent when I was on a tour on 11 October 2024. In Central Lombok regency this place would be suitable for foreign tourist mostly from central ad south Asia where they would like to get the serene nature of Indonesia.
Located a mere drive of one and a half hours from the famous Senggigi beach, Benang Kelambu makes for a distinctive triangular shaped beach. Unlike most waterfalls, which always seem to break free from rock walls, Benang Kelambu is actually a stream of water among tropical greenery. Especially when you observe the water please flowing down between strong-growing thick plants providing almost becalming sensation.
The approach to the waterfall is possible; there are well-surfaced roads that make it possible; however, the hike can be tiring. Along the way food shops are located aside the road, cafes that sell drinks, snacks and even “kaput” rice and many others things including towels.
The waterfall part is divided into two to three tiers that organize a multi-tiered cascades of the water stream. Kelambu actually translates to curtain and a perfect catch to describe the vegetation that grows around the waterfall in this manner. The water that rises up from the bottom emanates from a spring on Mount Rinjani and water from source is said to be pure and potable, and thus the experience of coming to this site can be enchanting.
Lastly, Benang Kelambu Water is definitely a great place for people who expect to find a place of natural beauty, silence and excellent adventure in the island of Lombok.
