World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day Marked at Azerbaijani Embassy in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: An event dedicated to December 31 – World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day – was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Malaysia, bringing together members of the Azerbaijani community to celebrate unity and national cohesion.
The event was attended by embassy staff as well as Azerbaijanis living and studying in Malaysia, reflecting the strong sense of solidarity among the diaspora.
Speaking on the occasion, Embassy Counsellor Sarkhan Ismayilov highlighted the history and significance of World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day. He underscored the special attention given by National Leader Heydar Aliyev to strengthening unity among Azerbaijanis worldwide and emphasized the importance of collective efforts by Azerbaijanis living abroad on matters of national interest.
Ismayilov noted that initiatives implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have yielded significant results in enhancing global Azerbaijani solidarity. He also recalled the unity and support demonstrated by Azerbaijanis around the world during the Patriotic War launched five years ago under the leadership of President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev to liberate Azerbaijani territories from occupation.
The counsellor further highlighted the constructive role of the Azerbaijani community in Malaysia in fostering and strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
Elchin Huseynov, a doctoral student at the University of Malaya and coordinator of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Malaysia, also addressed the gathering. He emphasized the efforts of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Malaysia to promote unity and cooperation among Azerbaijanis residing in the country.
The event reaffirmed the commitment of the Azerbaijani community in Malaysia to preserving national identity and strengthening ties with their homeland.
