Youth Dialogue on Chinese Modernization Strengthens Sino-French Relations

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Nearly 100 prominent figures from Chinese and French political, cultural, artistic, media, and academic circles convened for a significant youth dialogue on Chinese modernization in Paris on May 5. Organized by China Media Group (CMG), the Sciences Po Alumni, the Paris Intercollegiate Committee of the United Nations (CINUP), and Jinan University, the event provided a platform for insightful discussions and exchanges.

Distinguished guests, including Shen Haixiong, President of CMG, Jack Lang, former French Culture Minister, Sylvie Bermann, former French Ambassador to China, Hervé Machenaud from Sciences Po Alumni, and Charles Jeanne, President of CINUP, graced the occasion with their presence and delivered speeches elucidating the importance of bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Shen Haixiong highlighted the collaborative efforts between Chinese and French cultural envoys, emphasizing their involvement in research activities pertaining to Chinese modernization. He underscored CMG’s commitment to fostering dialogue platforms, facilitating cross-cultural understanding, and showcasing China’s vibrant development in the contemporary era.

Expressing optimism for the future, Shen emphasized the pivotal role of youth in enhancing the enduring friendship between China and France and contributing to a shared future for humanity.

Additionally, CMG and Sciences Po Alumni formalized their commitment to cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in various domains.

A round table dialogue session further enriched the discourse, with young scholars and cultural envoys delving into the nuances of Chinese modernization from a youth perspective.
