This week I travelled to ubud rice field. The Ubud is further well known among international tourists as the greener part of Bali which has many tourist attraction sites that are largely green that includes forests, ridge walks and even rice paddies.lush forests, ridge walks, and rice terraces. Among all green attractions here, Tegallalang Rice Fields is one of the most visited places.
Also called Tegallalang Rice Terrace, it is a terraced rice field which is laid systematically, and it maintains the Balinese water irrigation system, subak.tractions with green features, such as lush forests, ridge walks, and rice terraces. One of the most popular green attractions here is Tegallalang Rice Fields. Also known as Tegallalang Rice Terrace, it is a series of beautifully arranged paddies which follows the traditional Balinese irrigation system called “subak.” The above system is said to have been left by a sage called Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century.
The Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy is doing the tourism promotion in an excellent way.
Ubud Scenic Greenery
Tegallalang Rice Fields is situated in a valley that offers extraordinarily scenic lookouts over the terraces and surrounding green landscape. Along with the ones in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan, Tegallalang Rice Fields form the three most stunning-looking terraced landscapes in Ubud region.
Ms. Farahaya read my poem named “Ubud’s Rice Fields” from the “Romantic Whispers of the Archipelago“.
Since it has been listed in UNESCO World Heritage site, this place has gained popularity among international travelers. Altogether it is still a fine site to relax and let off steam as it creates peaceful environment to spend time in.
How to get there
Tegalalang Rice Terrace is just half hour twenty minutes car drive northwards of Ubud; however, anyone who fancies a two-hour walk to the place on foot is welcome to do so. It is rather accessible; even if your opt for a personal car or motorbike that you have hired, getting there is quite easy. You can also go by taxi there. Though you have multiple ways that you can select, all of them make you have different forms of convenience.
Things to do Nearby
Hike Down the Elevation
When you enter Tegalalang Rice Fields the first thing that one can do of course is to take a gander at the top of the slope. Still, there can be an opportunity you walk and ford a small stream and get to the rice fields on the other side.
My team comprises of Mr. Zahir Abbasi, Ms. Samar, Mr. Farhan Ali, Mr. Ahmad Khan, Mr. Obaid, Mr. Atif and Mr. Mubashir praised the Ubud Terrace. We were impressed with the arrangements at the Ubud area.
It should take you from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours to visit the area comprehensively. I don’t think it is long at all, given what one expects to discover during the journey will more than compensate for the time it takes.
Swing at the “LOVE BALI” Sign
Today there are many swings all around Bali with more focus on the Ubud area. But you should not miss this one particular with the ‘LOVE BALI’ sign at the entrance to the rice paddies. At first glance it might not seem all too difficult, but it does look extremely adorable.
Regarding enjoyment Tegallalang Rice Fields provide a different type of pleasure that will make people want to come to Bali over and over. When you finally get here, make sure to always observe the health measures in order to always be a good traveler.
Last thing is that kindly respect for the local people and especially for their customs and traditions.
