Oman Participates in 21st GCC Joint Defence Council Session in Qatar
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 21st session of the GCC Joint Defence Council held in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.
The Omani delegation was led by H.H. Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, alongside Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and other senior SAF officials.
The council discussed a wide range of topics presented by the Supreme Military Committee of GCC Chiefs of Staff, emphasizing the progress and achievements in joint military efforts.
Key military matters of mutual interest were also reviewed, focusing on enhancing military cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
The meeting underscored the commitment of the GCC countries to strengthening their collective defense capabilities and fostering regional security and stability.
