Sultan of Oman to Embark on State Visit to Türkiye

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will undertake a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye starting Thursday, November 28, 2024, in response to an invitation from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Diwan of Royal Court announced the visit in a statement, emphasizing the strong and advancing relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Türkiye. The visit aims to bolster bilateral cooperation across various sectors, aligning with the aspirations of both nations.

During the visit, the leaders will discuss opportunities to expand collaboration and exchange views on key regional and international developments.

His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, including:

  • HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs
  • HH Sayyid Nabigh bin Talal Al Said
  • Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court
  • Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister
  • Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office
  • Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority
  • Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion
  • Saif bin Rashid Al Jahwari, Oman’s Ambassador to Türkiye
