Pakistan and Hong Kong Emphasize Strengthening Economic and Diplomatic Relations

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), John K C Lee, underscored the importance of enhancing economic and diplomatic relations during a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The meeting, which focused on exploring opportunities for mutual growth and cooperation, saw Minister Aurangzeb highlight the potential for increased collaboration between the two regions, particularly in sectors such as finance, technology, and tourism. He emphasized the shared values and interests that bind Pakistan and Hong Kong, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to deepening these ties further.
The discussion also covered key topics including economic collaboration, trade relations, investment opportunities, and cultural exchanges. Both parties expressed their desire to foster closer ties and enhance bilateral cooperation for long-term prosperity.
In response, Chief Executive K C Lee welcomed the Minister’s visit and echoed the commitment to strengthening partnerships between Pakistan and Hong Kong. He recognized the mutual benefits of fostering strong economic development, innovation, and cultural exchange through closer collaboration.
The meeting, which was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador in Beijing, Khaleel Hashmi, and Consul General in Hong Kong, Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, highlighted the shared determination of both sides to build a robust and comprehensive relationship across various sectors.
