Taunggyi, The Gulf Observer: Taunggyi witnessed a bustling scene at its famous pagodas on 12 February, as the city celebrated both Union Day and the full moon day of Tabodwe.

Recognized as a day of special significance for Buddhists, the occasion saw large numbers of visitors flocking to pagodas and stupas, which are considered the pride of the city. Prominent sites such as the Culamuni Lokachantha Pagoda, Shwephonepwint Pagoda, and Myaseintaung Pagoda were filled with pilgrims who came to pay homage. Additionally, popular relaxation spots, including Bogyoke Park, attracted many visitors engaging in leisure activities.
