Pakistan Celebrates Eid-ul-Adha with Religious Fervour and Devotion

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The nation is celebrating Eid-ul-Adha today with traditional religious fervour, reverently commemorating the profound legacy of sacrifice set by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

The day began with special Eid prayers held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open grounds across cities, towns, and villages, where devout Muslims gathered to pray for the well-being of the Ummah and seek peace, progress, and prosperity for Pakistan.

Ulema and religious scholars delivered sermons highlighting the spiritual and moral lessons from the historic act of sacrifice, emphasizing values such as devotion, submission, generosity, and compassion.

In accordance with Sunnah, Muslims across the country began the ritual of animal sacrifice, which will continue over the next two days. This sacred practice not only honors faith and obedience to Allah but also promotes charity by sharing meat with the needy.

To ensure a secure and orderly celebration, both federal and provincial governments have implemented comprehensive security measures, deploying personnel and monitoring key areas to prevent any untoward incidents.

Local administrations have also activated special sanitation plans for the efficient collection and disposal of offal and waste, aiming to maintain hygiene and cleanliness during the festive period.

Media outlets, including Pakistan Television and leading private TV channels, are airing special Eid transmissions, showcasing cultural, religious, and social aspects of the festival. Newspapers across the country have also published special Eid supplements, reflecting on the significance of Eid-ul-Adha and its enduring message of faith and sacrifice.

The nationwide observance of Eid-ul-Adha serves as a powerful reminder of unity and compassion, reinforcing Pakistan’s cultural and religious fabric.
