Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: According to News Hub Consultants, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a telephone conversation today with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, marking the occasion of the holy festival of Eid al-Adha.

Prime Minister Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to President Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan, wishing the nation continued progress and prosperity. In response, President Aliyev conveyed his warm greetings to the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, expressing his hopes for happiness, development, and well-being for the Pakistani nation.

During the conversation, both leaders fondly recalled their recent bilateral meeting in Lachin and the trilateral summit involving Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan. They expressed satisfaction that the outcomes of these meetings had further enhanced the momentum of friendly relations and cooperation between their nations.

The two sides also discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in various sectors including the economy, trade, energy, industry, defense, science, education, and tourism.

Highlighting the upcoming Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit, set to take place this summer in Khankendi, Azerbaijan, both leaders voiced hope that the event would contribute to deeper collaboration among member states.

Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the exchange.
