Turkmenistan and Türkiye Discuss Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation in Education, Youth Policy and Cultural Exchange

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mekan Ishangulyyev, held a meeting with the newly appointed Chairman of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Abdulhadi Turus.
During the meeting, held in Ankara, the two sides engaged in a constructive exchange on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the areas of education, science, sports, and youth policy. Both parties emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening people-to-people ties and institutional partnerships in these fields.
Particular attention was devoted to the outcomes of the visit made by a delegation of the YTB to Turkmenistan in April 2025. The visit was hailed as a significant step in reinforcing cultural and educational collaboration between the two nations.
In addition, the meeting addressed preparations for organizing joint commemorative events in the Republic of Türkiye to mark the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s internationally recognized status of Permanent Neutrality. These activities are expected to further deepen the historical bonds of friendship and mutual respect between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral relations through dialogue, joint initiatives, and increased exchanges in sectors of mutual interest.
