Azerbaijan Launches New Phase of Resettlement to Khidirli Village and Jabrayil City

Baku, The Gulf Observer: In accordance with the directives of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has initiated a new phase of resettlement as part of the ongoing efforts to restore and repopulate the liberated territories. The latest phase includes the relocation of families to Khidirli village in the Aghdam district and to the city of Jabrayil.
A total of 60 families, comprising 235 individuals, have been resettled in Khidirli village, while 50 families, totaling 199 people, have been relocated to Jabrayil city.
This initiative is part of the broader framework of the Great Return Program, aimed at facilitating the safe and dignified return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their ancestral lands following years of displacement.
The resettlement process is being carried out with the necessary infrastructure in place, including newly constructed housing, educational facilities, healthcare centers, and essential utilities, ensuring comfortable living conditions for the returning residents.
The government of Azerbaijan remains committed to the reconstruction and revitalization of its liberated territories, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development, social welfare, and the restoration of cultural and historical heritage.
