UAE

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: The Russia–UAE Business Council has unveiled the programme and key participants for the inaugural UAE–Russia Business Forum, set to be held in Dubai on 10th December. The event is being organised with support from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Marathon Investment Group.

The forum will convene as part of the 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russia–UAE Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation, also scheduled for 10th December in Dubai.

Bilateral relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates continue to deepen, with strong growth in trade and expanding joint initiatives across manufacturing, transportation, logistics, agriculture, digital technologies, healthcare, and investment. Cooperation is progressing in both traditional sectors and emerging high-tech fields requiring new collaborative frameworks.

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov highlighted the UAE’s importance as a key economic partner in the Middle East.
“In recent years, the UAE has become one of Russia’s key economic partners in the region. The first UAE–Russia Business Forum is a testament to this priority,” he said.
He added that the Russia–UAE Business Council is helping unlock significant potential for mutual investments and joint projects, especially in technology, logistics, trade, and IT startups.

Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, emphasised the strategic nature of the partnership.
“Russia and the UAE are building a solid foundation for long-term cooperation that aligns with their interests in the evolving international economic landscape,” he stated. “We are witnessing rising trade and investment activity and new projects in non-resource sectors. Holding the Business Forum in Dubai will enhance practical cooperation and support the launch of new initiatives.”

The forum will gather major companies from both countries, investment funds, tech startups, and logistics operators to explore strategic partnerships.
