Azerbaijan, US Officials Discuss Regional Situation and Bilateral Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, met with a staff delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives.
The meeting focused on the current regional situation, the significance of the agreements reached during the Washington Peace Summit on August 8, and the ongoing process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Discussions also covered measures related to the peace agreement, progress on the Charter on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States, and other issues of mutual interest on the bilateral agenda.
The sides exchanged views on initiatives concerning Azerbaijan proposed in the US Congress, emphasizing the importance of repealing Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.
