Kazakhstan, Russia Discuss Expanding Energy Cooperation in Moscow

Moscow, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov held a series of high-level meetings in Moscow with representatives of Russia’s energy sector to discuss bilateral cooperation and joint projects in the energy field, according to the press service of Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry.

During the visit, Akkenzhenov held talks with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev.

The discussions focused on current issues of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including collaboration in the oil and gas industry, the electricity sector, and the development of joint infrastructure projects between Kazakhstan and Russia.

Both sides expressed mutual interest in further strengthening their strategic partnership and expanding cooperation across various areas of the energy sector.

Following the meetings, the two sides agreed to continue active dialogue and advance joint initiatives aimed at ensuring energy security and supporting the sustainable economic development of both countries.
