Baku, The Gulf Observer: The President of Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of preserving the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage during his address at the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

Ilham Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan takes pride in its ancient history, which is reflected not only in its music and poetry but also in its architectural heritage. He underscored that this cultural legacy forms an integral part of national identity.

“Our duty is to preserve it for the next generation, and the next generation will do the same,” the President added, highlighting the responsibility of safeguarding historical and cultural assets for future generations.

The remarks were made during the high-level opening ceremony of WUF13, which brought together global leaders, policymakers, and urban development experts in Baku to discuss sustainable urbanization and future city planning.
