Baku to Host 4th UNFCCC Climate Week from September 7 to 11
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Baku will host the fourth United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Climate Week from September 7 to 11, bringing together stakeholders to advance international cooperation and practical action on climate change.
Organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 4th UNFCCC Climate Week (CW4) will provide a platform for discussions focused on strengthening climate action and advancing implementation of global climate commitments.
Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026) will take place concurrently with the UNFCCC Climate Week. The programme will place particular emphasis on practical climate action, international cooperation and efforts to accelerate implementation ahead of the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31).
The simultaneous organization of the two climate-focused initiatives is expected to reinforce Baku’s role as a platform for international dialogue on climate issues and facilitate greater coordination among governments, institutions and other stakeholders.
The events will also build on Azerbaijan’s recent engagement in the global climate agenda, providing an opportunity to promote concrete measures and strengthen cooperation ahead of COP31.
