Conference in Dushanbe Highlights Tajikistan’s UN Peace Initiative and National Unity

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: A scientific and theoretical conference was held at the Tajik Technological University on June 27 to mark the adoption of Tajikistan’s latest initiative by the United Nations General Assembly, titled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations.”

Held under the theme “National Unity – A Solid Foundation for the Adoption of the Republic of Tajikistan’s Initiative on the International Stage: ‘International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations’,” the conference brought together academics, researchers, and university representatives to discuss the significance of the UN resolution and Tajikistan’s growing role in promoting global peace.

Participants described the adoption of the initiative as a major diplomatic achievement for Tajikistan and a recognition by the international community of the country’s peace-oriented foreign policy, particularly under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon.

During the event, participants expressed their support for the country’s leadership by raising the National Flag of Tajikistan and displaying banners highlighting peace, national unity, and solidarity.

Speakers emphasized that the UN resolution reflects the far-sighted vision and international initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon, noting that it further strengthens Tajikistan’s position as an active and leading contributor to the global peace agenda.

The conference concluded that the “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations” will provide an important framework over the next ten years for promoting sustainable global stability, advancing peaceful cooperation, and safeguarding the interests of future generations.

Participants also reaffirmed the importance of national unity as a key factor behind Tajikistan’s success in advancing internationally recognized initiatives and strengthening its standing in global diplomacy.
